This is the second time I’ve written this post. Buffy erased the first one as she walked across the keyboard.` I love my cat. I love my cat. I love my cat.
NOW the datebook arrives!
I am referring to the Education Minnesota Retired datebook. The one that I was looking for earlier in the fall.
It seems that they always came right after school started in the fall. When I didn’t see it, I messaged friends on FaceBook to ask if they had received theirs. Nope.
So, about three weeks ago I bought a similarly sized one that has two years worth of calendar space at Office Max and entered all my data in it. More about that later. There are some drawbacks with this one, primarily Saturdays and Sundays. They are the sixth column and the two days share one small box. The week starts on Monday.
Now I can get over this, I think, especially since the colors of the calendar are turquoise, and, wait for it, ORANGE! And the calendar is housed in a clear plastic holder which helps it survive being pushed into and pulled out of a purse.
However, the thing that might make me consider rewriting all the data into the newly arrived ED MN datebook is the extra blank space around the calendar. I know that I have used that to make notes that wouldn’t fit in the little box of the day. The new one has no such space.
Hmmmm…
Before I go on, I need to tell you just what data I inscribe into each small calendar that I keep in my purse. I have all the important numbers: doctors, dentist, hair stylist, tetanus/whooping cough expiration date(6/17), and the section number for our favorite seats at the Twins stadium. The doctors’ phone numbers alone have more than tripled since 2012, for some strange reason. I also have written in all the birthdays with week long lead times so I can get their cards in the mail. I have highlighted all the times I will be volunteering at school.
It is my paper smart phone.
So, do I take the time to rewrite all that data, or do I try the newer smaller size and style?
Just thought you’d like to hear something other than politics today.
Hugs,
Janet
Rewrite everything into the new book. It’s not like you don’t have time……duh. 😉
