Hiya Folks!
Welcome to the Official 50th post of this blog! Who knew I had so much to say??!
Well, Lance, … and my kids, … and Judy, … and any of the cousins who listen to me go on and on at Christmas, …
Guess it’s not a surprise, huh?!
We’ll see if I can NOT burn dinner while I write tonight. I intended to write in the late morning but we had Internet issues. “Best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.” Thanks, Robbie!
NO TRANSITION HERE………….ABSOLUTELY NONE…………..
Buffy has been a naughty kitty yesterday and today. First of all, she’ll sit on my laptop in the kitchen while I’m cooking dinner. not usually a problem, except I’m listening to my Christmas music ——–that is on the computer! I don’t know how she does it, but today she was hitting the pause button while she got comfortable. Yesterday she was hitting a key and causing the repeating plonk, plonk, plonk, plonk sound which was not keeping time with the Christmas carol that was playing at the time. I even tried partially closing the laptop, thinking that now this would not be a good place to lie down. She sat on it anyway, closing it and turning off the music.
Then, when I stooped on the landing to pick up the full bottle of distilled water to carry it upstairs, there was a wet spot underneath it. Hmmmmm. Didn’t notice a wet spot in the car from the trip home from Cub. you don’t suppose …
Yep, a cat sized tooth puncture in the side of the bottle. Good thing I spotted it when I did. “A stitch in time saves nine.” Thanks, Aesop!
Thankfully I hadn’t recycled the old bottle yet, so I could just pour the new into the old. I know, I know, don’t pour new wine into old wineskins. Thanks, Matthew, Mark and Luke! But these weren’t skins at all, so I figured I was safe.
And then I put the bottle in the cupboard, safely away from the cat.
Right now she’s pouting in her bed. I chased her away from the nice warm laptop where she could keep an eye on me. She is not a happy camper.
Oh well. You can’t win ’em all. Thanks, Anon!
Hugs,
Janet

Cat-sized tooth puncture – that’s hilarious. Good presence of mind on your part, detective Brightside, to discover the leak quickly. Gotta love those pesky felines. My cat Dilly likes to pick keys off my laptop. Yup, he’s done it more than once! Luckily, I’ve been able to snap the keys back into place. I try to always close the laptop lid before leaving the room, but I have occasional senior moments and Dilly cat just loves those opportunities. Pet Buffy for me. Stay warm. Thanks for writing!
