Hello Friends!

What a gorgeous day here on the frozen tundra!  The snow is melting, driveways and roofs are appearing, and there is a feeling of spring in the air.

Okay, okay, so I know that spring is a long way off.  Just let us have our delusion.

I went to Katya’s vet appointment with just a hoodie and ear muffs, no jacket!  I pushed the envelope a little because I just didn’t want to wash my jacket after holding the little kitten in the exam room. Remember, everything that comes in contact with her has to be washed, bleached, vacuumed or dusted.

And that brings me to the title: Best News of the Month!!!  The vet thinks that Katya doesn’t have any more ringworm!!!!! WHOOPPEEE !!!!!! Her coat looks good and there are no bald patches.  The test was barely a positive and it was four weeks ago. We will be gambling a bit here with letting her out of quarantine, but the vet said if she was her cat, she would.

When I put Katya back in her room I kept the door open and she stayed in her room.  She even hid when I walked by the door.  It may take her some time to feel comfortable outside her room.

Of course, Buffy was on the porch when I had the door open to Katya’s room.  She is loving this thaw, too!

Maybe the hubster can install the special door tonight and we can get these cats to s-lo-w-l-y get to know each other.
