The Power of One

Greetings, Earthlings and Others!

It looks as though we will be getting some snow to brighten up the landscape. Doesn’t look like it’ll be a lot, but we’ll take it.  Our reputation for long snowy and cold winters has suffered this year; the cold we’ve got, the snow we’ve not.  I laugh to see the big plows pulled out to deal with the 1/2 inch snowfalls.  A Bobcat might be better suited for the job!

++++******+++++++********heck no, not here++++*******

A single drip in a pool radiates to the pool’s outer edges. A butterfly flaps its wings in Argentina and a tornado happens in Oklahoma. One man stops doing projects and a Menard’s closes.

Seriously!  The hubster stopped doing projects after he finished the damn patio and now, our Menard’s is closing!!!!!!  I can’t help but think that the two are related.  This was a store that he would visit twice before I was even up on a Saturday morning.   When working on a project he would frequent that store at least five or six times a weekend.  It was just like Cheers when Norm would walk in; when the hubster graced the entrance, the clerks would all chorus out his name!!!

In all fairness, this is on him.  I suggested that we add a room out beyond the dining room after he finished the damn patio. He’s the one that stopped building.  Perhaps it was the damn garage, the damn shed and the damn patio that did it.( the fireplace was never a damn project, don’t know why)

And, I do worry, because always, ALWAYS, after finishing a project, he had a period of time  before he itched to start another one.  It was usually a week.

And the itch never came after he finished the damn patio.

He turned to the computer to satisfy his creative urges.  Building programs, developing software, type, type typing away in his office.

And Menard’s is closing now.

I can only hope that the powers that be in our fair city don’t put two and two together and levy some sort of fine against us.

Have a superb Sunday!

Love,

Janet
