Greetings Springsters!
What strange weather we’ve had today. A few minutes ago I looked out on sunshine and snow. Now normally that’s not unusual here in the North Country, even in April. One is on the ground and the other is making things bright. But it was snowing as the sun was shining, and that was odd. The sunshine’s brightness was dulled by the snow in the air. Weird.
I covered up the tall bulbs in the back garden about an hour ago and already have to recover them because the wind has re shaped the sheet so that the dirt in the garden is covered and not the bulbs. Call me callous, but I don’t care if the dirt freezes tonight. I had two tulips in the front that I cut and put into bud vases because I knew that if I tried to cover them, they would just break anyway. This way, I could control when they got separated from the stem and keep them away from the frost. Plus, I have flowers in the house now!
I feel like I’m coming down with a cold and if I do, I know exactly who to blame for it! The kid I was working with today kept coughing and despite repeated, repeated, I say, reminders to cover his mouth when he coughed, would not do so. GRRRRRRR.
And speaking of working at school today, Garrick comes to mind. Now this is not the name of any student that I work with. This is the name of a student in a math problem.
What????? Wait a minute. What happened to Jane and Tom and Mary? And what happened to using the names of the rest of us whose names were never used in any math problems when I was in school. Garrick?? So we’re going with a name that could be from the Game of Thrones?????? Or a royal family from Europe???
Dang.
And while I’m at it, let me tell you about Buffy’s bad behavior today. She’s been playing harp on the wire sculpture on the living room wall and been squirted for it, too. It’s been so long since we’ve had to do this, that the water bottles are gone and all that’s left is the squirt gun! Thank goodness that it still had water in it!!
Well, Buffy didn’t think so. and after she had been squirted AND had a timeout, she went right back at it!!! This is why we got another cat; so she’d have someone to play with ( read: distract her)
So, does this mean I have to be mad at Katya for not doing her job??!
Just now, Buffy was sitting out on the porch, refusing to come in. (don’t worry, she’s dry now)
Drama Queen.
********nope, no transition here*********
The hubster had a great co-inky-dink the other day. We were watching last week’s NCIS and recognized a guest actor who had been on the old Seaquest series. I commented on it and the hubster said he thought he was in the Dexter episode he had watched that day, well, one of the Dexter episodes that the hubster had watched that day. He is currently on season seven which was filmed in 2012.
Hmmm… guest star in 2012 on Dexter, guest star on NCIS in 2015, both viewed on the same day?? Quite a coincidence, no?
Remember Dondi, the comic strip? He always talked like that, no? Yes!
Well, have a wacky Wednesday tomorrow. And may the Force be with you!
Love,
Janet
