And I am on my second glass —oops make that just finished my second glass —-of wine. We stopped at Granite City for a beer and a glass of wine while we waited for a growler of Duke and two Pepper Bacon Flatbread Pizzas.. We brought them home to eat on the porch. Then, for dessert, I had another glass of wine and some Harry and David caramel corn and Lance mowed the lawn.
I know, I know. dessert is not usually mowing the lawn, but what can I say? That’s what he’s doing!!
Meanwhile I am seriously considering whether or not I will be able to read what I type if I have another glass of wine. It is hot enough so that I am sticking to the furniture—see earlier post about such things—–so the practice of unsticking my arms from the furniture may keep me alert.
I know one thing, it’s not helping my spelling. If my monitor would make a sound everything I misspell a word right now, I’d get a ticket for noise pollution!
Oh, and for those of you who scoff at the mere two glasses of wine, I am a cheap drunk. Always have been, but now even moreso. Two and I’m usually dancing on the table top.
Tappity tap tap tap.
The reunion is over and the speech is done. Whew. You, know, I used to be able to stay up all night working on a set, sleep for an hour and then perform a show. Well, not anymore! I had to sit down and rest from talking to people before the program even got started!
This seriously limited my ability to get around and see people, as you can imagine.
And then, after the speech, I did get around more, but then the music was louder and it was more difficult to converse.
I am grateful to my friend Mari who stopped by, said she would like to talk but wanted to go someplace more conducive to conversation. So, we went into the hall, sat on the bench and had a great talk. Thanks, Mari! You taught me a good lesson and gave me a great idea for the 50th!
And, now, I want to swing in the hammock and read my book. I’m on The Fourth Bear now, the second in the series by Jasper Fforde. Goldilocks appears to be missing. Well, maybe that’s not the correct way to say it. If she appears, how can she be missing? Anyway, I am going to read my book.
Thanks for all your support while I was muddling over the speech. I appreciated it.
Have a super Saturday and a stupendous Sunday!
Love,
Janet
