Good Morning Friends,
I just got a text from Cherry Berry Frozen Yogurt that invited me to celebrate the heat wave Mpls is having today. Top temp will be 37 degrees. WooHoo!!! We look forward to returning home at those temps.
Yes, today we begin our flight back to MSP at 1:00 Kauai time and landing at 6 am MN time tomorrow morning. And yes, we have a layover at LAX, but it’s 3 1/2 hours, which is much better than the 10 hours on the way here.
Right now, the hubster is robbing Peter to pay Paul, by switching stuff back and forth between the two suitcases to get them both under 50 lb. It could have something to do with the two bottles of Koloa Rum he’s packing . . .
I am wearing flip flops, but am carrying my heavier sandals to change into at LAX. I know that if I don’t, we’ll be landing in two feet of snow at MSP. That’s just how it works.
I am wearing one of my muumuus which will be comfy to fly in. I tell you, those Christian missionaries who created the dress to cover up the bare breasted females on the islands did create a garment that is easy to wear!
I am also wearing the lei I received last night at the luau. Now that was fun! It was at the Kilohana Plantation. Food and entertainment, Hawaii style. And yes, I ate the poi!
The hubster is checking out and then hiking to the car while I sit with the bags nearer the pick up place. We’d just as soon not have to drag all this stuff to the outer parking lot; it’s a looooooong way.
So I will say good bye to you here. See you soon.
Aloha Oe,
Janet
