I Shaved My Balls

Hello Peoples!
It’s a gray day here in Minnesota, temperature hovering around freezing but no snow in the forecast.
I would bet that if you polled Minnesotans across the state, they’d rather have more snow falling than not. I mean, if we are going to have winter, let’s have WINTER!!! If it’s not warm enough to have picnics and swim in our famous 10,000 lakes, let’s have enough snow and ice to make it interesting!
I hear that here in the metro we are 14 inches behind normal snowfall. Kick it up, Mother Nature!!! And let that snow fall!!!

Speaking of weather, I want to know whether or not you have watched any of the British quiz shows on BritBox. (yes, it was a homophonic transition) BritBox is a whatchamacallit like Roku or Netflix or Acorn. A service that you pay a monthly fee for, perhaps?
Well, BritBox has shows from the Beeb( BBC) and other British stations that we don’t know as well over here across the pond. Comedy, drama, mysteries.
Lately I’ve been laughing through the quiz shows “QI” and “Would I Lie to You?” #WILTY.
The former is hosted by Stephen Frye who asks questions of four quick witted and well known Brits of the entertainment industry. These tend toward trivia type questions and the four try hard to not give the wrong answer which makes the klaxon sound with their wrong answer flashing above them. Wrong answers result in negative points. So, as you can imagine, the total points at game’s end can sometimes not even make it past zero.

The points in one game were as follows: loser with -38 points, a tie with two getting -19 points, and the winner squeaking in with -18 points.

There is also quite often a science experiment with equipment from the nearby university physics department. Not to worry, safety glasses and heavy gloves are worn.

The quite knowledgeable chap Stephen Frye keeps things rolling in the right direction which is not often easy with the creative imaginations running wild on either side of him.

The other show has two teams who try to discover whether or not the other team members are lying as they relate a story. Just as in living room Jeopardy, the audience at home can guess along with the celebrities. Even the hubster chuckles along with this show.

Laughter, it is such a balm for the soul. And speaking of balm, I’ll tell you next about shaving my balls this morning. Yes, I did shave my balls. My wool dryer balls. With the lint shaver. And it worked fabulously. I highly recommend it.

Have a great rest of your weekend. Remember to smile; it makes people wonder what you’re up to!!!

Love,
Janet
